K9 Turf is a UK based artificial grass company, which supplies pet-friendly synthetic turf to a range of dealers and landscaping businesses. Using a patented technology, K9 Turf is one of the UK’s only pet-friendly artificial grass products.
The key challenge for the company was to raise awareness of their product and demonstrate clearly how the grass worked. They wanted to establish a strong presence online and use case studies and real customer testimonials to demonstrate the quality of their grass.
As K9 Turf was a relatively new company, they didn’t have an existing website. Their branding needed to be improved and a clear digital marketing strategy had to be established. The business also had no real social media presence and couldn’t be located in search engines.
To attract new customers and position K9 Turf as an industry leader, we had to formulate a comprehensive, cross-channel strategy. We therefore started by researching the industry, looking at competitors and worked to understand the company’s key pain points. Using this information, we then started to formulate a cross-platform strategy to move forward with.
We worked closely with the team at K9 Turf to map out new branding ideas, create logo options and put together a set of clear brand guidelines. This would then be used throughout all collateral, both on and offline to create a strong brand.
Once we were all clear and happy with the branding, we began work on a new website. This was to include a shop, blog, gallery, case studies as well as the usual core pages. Taking the brand colours and design, we created a robust website, which was easy for potential customers to navigate. We also incorporated a blog to be regularly updated by our in-house team of writers with informative, engaging content.
As case studies were set to be a key part of the marketing strategy, we advised that video would be the best way forward. Not only do they help portray case study results in a more visual manner, they also help with SEO rankings and work extremely well with Facebook algorithms. Plus, interviewing satisfied customers provides social proof that the product meets customer standards.
Our in-house videographer and content marketing team have created seven videos in the past six months, capturing before and after shots of gardens and interviewing clients. The videos help to demonstrate the quality of the grass and how pet-friendly the turf is.
After just six months, the K9 Turf website ranks in the top 10 organic results for pet-friendly artificial grass in the UK. It has a domain authority of 20 with a page authority of 26 and 474 high-quality links. The business’ Google place map receives 920 hits per month from users searching for artificial grass for dogs.
We’ve attracted over 1,500 likes on Facebook and update it regularly with case studies and helpful content. The videos we share get thousands of hits, helping to spread the brand message and generate new leads. When promoted, videos have had over 40,000 hits, reaching a far broader, yet still targeted, audience.
